Welcome to my first blog post! My Portfolio has been a work in progress for a few months, and I'm excited to launch the blog as my first official project, outside of some of the simpler web apps I've been working on. This blog uses the Gatsby starter template and was deployed via Netlify. The whole process was fairly simple once I got a hang of how Gatsby works.
The goal of my portfolio has always been not to get too caught up in the details, preventing me from ever launching. I started with a foundation that I could use to easily share my work and that would allow me to add features easily when the time came. This blog is being created with the same intention. I don't necessarily have a specific goal in mind, other than wanting to quickly have something in place that I can use to capture and share my thoughts as they come. I write a lot in my free time, mostly for myself, and I have always felt the desire to have a place to share my thoughts outside of social media. Thankfully, lately there has been a resurgence (in a sense) of people, including developers, putting more effort into their personal portfolios, and many of them are returning to traditional blogging.
Again, keep in mind that I don't have much of a plan in mind. One day, I may write about philosophy; another day, about creativity, and on yet another day, I may share poetry. When it comes to the general design of the page, I have several improvements in mind. Stay tuned!!
